PEOPLE BEHIND YOUR CARE
Tammy Huang, LAc, DAcCHM, focuses on women’s health, fertility-related support, pain and everyday well-being. She completed graduate education in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, as well as mentored study with Hai-Xia Ni. She also provides Medical Pilates at Wongs Acupuncture and Angel Alliance Physical Therapy.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Tammy earned her Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and a Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine specialization at the University of East-West Medicine. Her education covers both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
Her earlier professional development also included mentored study with Hai-Xia Ni. In 2010, she studied classical formulas and acupuncture techniques at Han Tang Traditional Chinese Medicine College. These experiences form part of her continuing interest in classical Chinese medicine and its application to individual consultations.
Since 2020, Tammy and her team have also provided Chinese medicine support for people affected by COVID-19 and persistent symptoms after infection. Her experience in that setting has included concerns such as cough, fatigue, sleep difficulties, trouble concentrating and stomach discomfort.
Tammy’s approach looks beyond the immediate complaint to include a person’s health history, routines and priorities. This broader conversation helps her understand what the patient wants to address and what matters in their daily life.
Women’s health is a recurring focus in Tammy’s clinical background, including menstrual discomfort, changes in cycle patterns and fertility-related concerns. Her interests also include pain, general health maintenance and discussions about weight-related goals.
You can start by explaining what you most want to address and how it affects your life. If there are several concerns, let her know which is most important to you.
Her practice brings acupuncture and Chinese herbal consultations into the same broader conversation about health. Depending on the appointment, this can include discussing sleep, eating patterns, stress and how symptoms affect ordinary activities.
Tammy also provides Medical Pilates. A movement appointment has a different purpose from an acupuncture or herbal consultation, so it helps to explain whether you are seeking symptom-focused care, a discussion about Chinese medicine, or individual movement guidance.
Tammy’s approach emphasizes understanding the wider picture around a concern. She is interested in how a patient’s symptoms, routines and health history fit together, and in developing a plan that can be discussed and reviewed over time.
She speaks English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese. Patients can explain their history, questions and preferences in the language that is most comfortable for them; please state that preference when arranging the visit.
For persistent symptoms after an infection, relevant medical findings and information about current treatment can help coordinate the Chinese medicine consultation with appropriate medical care.
For a women’s health or fertility-related consultation, it can help to bring a short timeline of your concerns, relevant medical findings and details of care you are already receiving. For pain or movement concerns, note which activities are difficult and what you hope to return to.
Bring a current medication and supplement list to a herbal consultation. Choose the office and appointment type shown in her booking information, and let the team know your main goal and preferred language.
